Ok, so here’s all the small print…
1. Definitions
AfriKids – The Charity; organiser of the raffle(s), conducting this promotion to raise funds for child rights and community development work in northern Ghana
The AfriKids Snowball Raffle/Snowball Raffle/The Raffle – a fundraising campaign comprising of 24 individual raffles raising money for The Charity, AfriKids, unless otherwise indicated as any of the individual raffles therein
Item/Prize/Lot – each prize listed in the Snowball Raffle
2. The AfriKids Snowball Raffle
2.1. The AfriKids Snowball Raffle is comprised of 24 individual raffles run simultaneously.
2.2. Ticket entrance for all raffles will be open from 12.00 GMT, December 1st 2014 through to 12.00 GMT, December 24th 2014.
2.3. All proceeds raised by the Snowball Raffle go to Charity, AfriKids.
2.4. Donations made by entering Snowball Raffle provide entry into the raffle(s), and in no way guarantee a prize to the entrant(s).
2.5. Entries received on any date while the Snowball Raffle is live will be entered into the same draws, no priority will be given according to date of purchase.
2.6. Entry into the Snowball Raffle requires the purchase of ticket(s), which can be made by adding the Item(s) you would like to enter to win to your cart and completing payment via the checkout process.
2.7. Payment for each Item represents one entry into that raffle only. To enter more than one raffle or for more than one entry into any single raffle, multiple purchases are required. This can be done simply by adding more of the same item to your cart or others and completing payment in one process for multiple purchases using the checkout system.
2.8. Purchase of the Item “enter me into all 24 raffles!” represents one entry into each of the 24 raffles, with an equal chance of winning as single entries into each raffle.
2.9. Entrants can request a gift receipt for entries into the Snowball Raffle (to give entries as gifts) by contacting Liam Nolan using the contact details in clause 2.17.
2.10. AfriKids’ licence (see also the Licencing section) to operate the Snowball Raffle restricts the value of funds that can be raised by each individual raffle. Therefore, the higher the ticket price for the raffle, the fewer tickets can be sold before the limit is reached and therefore, the lower the odds each ticket holds of winning.
2.11. Irrespective of the date, when the limit of ticket sales per raffle(s), or the overall limit of sales across the Snowball Raffle has been reached, tickets will no longer be available for said raffle(s) or the Snowball Raffle, respectively.
2.12. All draws will take place on the afternoon of December 24th, 2014 using a computerised random generator system, for complete impartiality.
2.13. Upon completing payment for entries into the Snowball Raffle, entrants will receive email confirmation. AfriKids will also receive notification of any successful purchases and use this information to add the entries to the draws accordingly. Please ensure you receive confirmation of your purchase from PayPal, entry is not confirmed without it.
2.14. Any purchases made outside of the “open dates” mentioned in clause 2.2 will not be entered, though donations will still be processed and will not be refunded.
2.15. Prize winners will be notified on December 24th, 2014.
2.16. Details and distribution of prizes to prize winners will all take place in January 2015.

2.18. AfriKids shall endeavour to action and/or respond to any such notice as soon as reasonably possible after receipt.
2.19. Employees of AfriKids are not eligible to enter.
3. Data Protection
3.1. AfriKids is publically registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office and adheres to the Principles of Data Protection as set out in the Data Protection Act 1998.
3.2. By entering the Snowball Raffle you agree to your details being added to AfriKids’ secure database for occasional updates on the Charity’s work. AfriKids will never share your details with any Third Parties without your express permission. You can opt out of this by including a note in the “message” box during the checkout process, and you can request to be removed from AfriKids’ database at any time after this.
3.3. The information collected from raffle entrants may be stored on AfriKids’ internal information systems. All information is stored securely with access restricted only to those who need it for their work with AfriKids and are formally assigned access to it. No information is ever shared with Third Parties without your express permission.
3.4. The payment system used by the Snowball Raffle is provided by PayPal Inc. under their Terms and Conditions. AfriKids does not receive any of the personal financial information you provide to make payment.
3.5. Entrants do not need to have a PayPal account to enter the Snowball Raffle, simply checkout as a “Guest”.
4. Licensing
4.1. AfriKids has been registered as a Society on behalf of which small lotteries may be promoted under Part 5 of Schedule 11 of the Gambling Act2005.
4.2. AfriKids is registered with the Licensing Authority of the London Borough of Camden and registration is valid from 15th October 2014 through to 15th October 2015.
4.3. In compliance with Part 4 of Schedule 11 of the Gambling Act 2005, tickets are limited in each raffle.
5. Limitations of liability
5.1. This Website is provided on an "AS IS" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
5.2. AfriKids assumes no liability for any viruses or any other disabling features that affect your access to or use of the Website.
5.3. AfriKids assumes no liability for any incompatibility between the Website and other websites, services, software and hardware.
5.4. AfriKids assumes no liability for any delays or failures you may experience in initiating, conducting or completing any transmissions in connection with the Website.
5.5. AfriKids assumes no liability for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of any of its websites, domain names or services.
5.6. AfriKids assume no liability for any use of the Website including, without limitation, direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damages or any loss of profits, loss of revenue business interruption, loss or programme or otherwise. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude AfriKids’ liability for:
a) death or personal injury caused by negligence; or
b) fraud or misrepresentation; or
c) any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under law.
6. Responsible gambling
AfriKids is running the Snowball Raffle to raise funds for Charity through responsible gambling.
If you think that you might have a problem with gambling, please ask yourself the following questions:
1. Have others ever criticised your gambling?
2. Have you ever had to lie to cover up the amount you are gambling?
3. Do arguments, frustrations or disappointments make you want to gamble?
4. Do you gamble alone?
5. Do you stay away from work or college to gamble?
6. Do you gamble to stay away from a boring or unhappy life?
7. Are you reluctant to spend gambling money on anything else?
8. Have you lost interest in your friends, family or past times due to gambling?
9. After losing, do you feel you must try and win back your losses as soon as possible?
10. When gambling and you run out of money do you feel lost and need to get back to gambling as soon as possible?
11. Have you ever lied, stolen or borrowed to continue gambling?
12. Do you ever feel depressed as a result of your gambling?
If you have answered yes to even one of these questions you should consider seriously consider whether you have a gambling problem.
There are many organisations that can help individuals overcome a possible gambling addiction and if anyone feels they are becoming addicted to gambling AfriKids recommend that you contact one of the many self-help groups that are available.
